Tea Tuesdays! (2): Today's Tea is...FOREVER NUTS!

Last week, I gave a bit of an introduction to loose tea, and I raved about one of my favourites, Redberry Tonic. Today, I'm going to tell you a bit about another fave of mine....FOREVER NUTS! This one is also from DAVIDsTEA. :)

My friend, Zoë, from Writing Whimsy and In the Next Room, actually recommended this one to me...multiple times, and I'm so glad that I caved and tried it! I wasn't sure if I would like it because I don't actually like to eat nuts all that much, but I absolutely love this tea! I kind of think that it tastes a bit like apple pie. :)

I've got a lovely rainbow tin of this one, and if you look inside of it, that's what this loose tea looks like. :) It also smells AMAZING! I let my dogs sniff this one...and they tried to stick their tongues inside of the tin because they wanted to eat it! haha

Here's what DAVIDsTEA has to say about FOREVER NUTS:
FOR ALMOND LOVERS
It looks all normal when it’s loose. But steep it and you’ll see that it’s nuts. Within seconds, this tempting jumble of almond slices and chunks, apple bits and cinnamon bark starts turning a crazy shade of pink. Why? Because it contains a hint of beetroot. That’s what gives this rich almond tea its earthy depth and its all-natural signature colour. Deliciously nutty, decidedly addictive. Caffeine-free.

INGREDIENTS
Apple, almonds, cinnamon, beetroot and artificial flavouring*.
Contains almonds

When I make Forever Nuts in my Timolina Travel Mug from DAVIDsTEA this is what it looks like. You put your tea in the little filter and pour the water through the top and into the mug, and then I always remove the filter while I let the tea cool down a bit. This mug is amazing and keeps it super hot, so I've learned that I have to let it cool first...and I take the leaves out so that I don't get a mouthful of them. :P

I also made Forever Nuts in my Kati mug from Indigo/Chapters. I just love the pretty pink colour that it makes! :D

Any other Forever Nuts lovers out there?
What's one of your favourite teas?

  2. Oh, I have actually smelled this one before! It might be the only David's Tea flavour I've smelled. And YES, it smells incredible!! A bit like apple pie, yes. And what a pretty colour the tea turns out to be!

  3. This tea sounds really delicious. A Dutch brand here has a tea flavour that's actually called apple pie tea, it's pretty good!
I am always a bit hesitant to drink red coloured tea( most tea's I drink are brownish). The first time I drank a red coloured tea was on vacation in germany and and it was the most horrible tea I ever drank. So since then when I see red tea I always think of that tea, although I have drank a few nice red tea's after that.

    1. Oooh! Yummy! :D
haha I don't think colour usually ever means a tea will taste gross...sounds like you may have just gotten a yucky one. :P I'd focus more on flavour because the colour is pretty much only dependent on what's INSIDE the tea! :) But...I can definitely see how a bad experience could "colour" (I had to! haha) your relationship with red teas. ;P Hopefully if you ever get to drink this one, you like it. :)

    1. I think you'd probably love this one then, Kristilyn! :D I'm not big on pistachios, but I didn't think I'd like "Forever Nuts" either, so who knows maybe I'd like that one, too. :P
