[#SuperSexyGalentines] Week 3: Top 4 Romantic Reads

Woo hoo! We've reached Week 3 of the #SuperSexyBookClub’s #SuperSexyGalentines!

This week we're sharing our Top 4 Romantic Reads!

Now picking just 4 top books is super hard, so I tried to pick some that hadn’t made their way into my top 4 lists the last two weeks, but I just couldn’t resist leaving one in there.💖

My Top 4 Romantic Reads include:

💜
THE KISS QUOTIENT by Helen Hoang
Michael and Stella are amazing and this book had me laughing, swooning, crying and just feeling all the feels!

💙VICIOUS by L.J. Shen
This was without a doubt my fave book of 2017 and it’s still one of my favourites today! I love Vicious and I love him with Emilia and I never get tired of reading their story and seeing them let each other in...soooo amazing!

💜SHIMMY BANG SPARKLE  by Nicola Rendell
This book was so fun! It’s like a rom-com and heist movie all rolled into one! Nick and Stella has crazy hot chemistry and it was such a fun read!

💙MAYBE SOMEDAY by Coleen Hoover
I’m a sucker for CoHo’s books and if I’m forced to pick Maybe Someday is my fave! I love Ridge and Sydney so much and this story was so beautiful!

Special mentions include:
❣️
PUCKED OVER by Helena Hunting
❣️
ARCHER'S VOICE by Mia Sheridan
❣️
BEAUTIFUL PLAYER by Christina Lauren
❣️BROOKLYNAIRE by Sarina Bowen
(I’m sure none of these are a surprise since they appeared in my other posts, too. 😉)

[#SuperSexyGalentines] Week 2: Top 4 Fave Female Leads

Thank you for joining us for Week 2 of the #SuperSexyBookClub's #SuperSexyGalentines!

#SuperSexyGalentines is hosted by my #SuperSexyBookClub, made up of myself, Christine from Padfoot's Library, Eden from The Required Reading List, and Patty from Simply Patty! It's a romance reading challenge for February and we're so excited to share some of our faves with you all!

This week we're sharing our Top 4 Fave Female Leads!

My Top 4 is pretty similar to last week, so take a peek at the picture to see the books, and scroll down a bit further to find out why I love them all so much!

My picks for this week are:

✨Lily f
rom Helena Hunting's PUCKED OVER and PUCKED UNDER (Pucked Series)

I absolutely love Lily! She's hilarious, sassy, and I love all of her quirks and the antics she and Randy end up in! I also love how wonderful of a friend and daughter she is! She's definitely one of those characters you wish were your friend because she'd be wonderful to have on your side! 🍁⛸

--------
✨Chloe from Christina Lauren's BEAUTIFUL BASTARD (Beautiful Bastard Series)

I love all of CLo’s characters, but I loved Chloe from the very first moment we met her! She‘s strong, sassy, and willing to do whatever it took to make sure she achieves her dreams. She doesn’t let Bennet bulldoze her and always makes sure he knows she‘s his equal. Love, love, love her!!!💼👠

--------

✨Bree from
Mia Sheridan's ARCHER'S VOICE!

Bree is probably one of the most considerate, kind-hearted and thoughtful heroines that I have ever encountered! I love her soooo much! I want to give her a big hug and just be one of her best friends! She and Archer are perfect!!!🐾💐

--------

✨Becca from Sarina Bowen's BROOKLYNAIRE (Brooklyn Bruisers Series)

I love this series, but Becca is definitely my fave of the ladies! She runs the Brooklyn office like a tight ship! Knows everything she has to do and is always ten-steps ahead! I love how driven, determined and incredibly intelligent she is! She’s also kind, generous, and just a wonderful person! She and Nate are perfect together, too!🏒📱

Honourable Mentions:

💖Emilia from L.J. Shen's VICIOUS
💖Jude from L.J. Shen's DIRTY HEADLINES
💖Saylor from K. Bromberg's SWEET CHEEKS
💖Hanna from Christina Lauren's BEAUTIFUL PLAYER
💖Stella from Nicola Rendell’s SHIMMY BANG SPARKLE
💖Stella from Helen Hoang's THE KISS QUOTIENT

[#SuperSexyGalentines] Week 1: Top 4 Sexiest Male Leads

Welcome to Week 1 of the #SuperSexyBookClub's #SuperSexyGalentines!

As I mentioned a couple of days ago, my #SuperSexyBookClub, made up of myself, Christine from Padfoot's Library, Eden from The Required Reading List, and Patty from Simply Patty are hosting a romance reading challenge for February!

This week we're sharing our Top 4 Sexiest Male Leads!

Thank you for checking out my post and joining Christine, Eden, Patty, and myself! I'm just going to dive right in!

My Top 4 Sexiest Male Leads are as follows!

 1. Vicious from L.J. Shen's VICIOUS and her Sinners of Saint Series!

I absolutely loved Vicious! I'm been smitten with him from the first time that I read VICIOUS (back in January 2017), and I still absolutely adore him! I've reread this book at least four times now, and I just grow to love him more and more! He's definitely an anti-hero and a darker character than I typically fall for, but for some reason I just adore his character. He's unforgettable, irresistible, and I absolutely adore seeing the way that he falls for his love interest, Emilia. It makes me swoon every single time!

------

2. Randy from Helena Hunting's PUCKED OVER and PUCKED UNDER from her Pucked Series!

Oh, Randy! I'd read the first book in the Pucked series ages ago, but hadn't read the rest of the series until this fall...and I got hooked! I flew through them all, but Randy and Lily were definitely my favourite couple...and Randy was by far my favourite character! I absolutely loved everything about him. He was funny, sooooo sweet, and undeniably sexy. I loved how he was described and I swooned pretty much whenever he and Lily were in the same vicinity.

------

 3. Will from Christina Lauren's BEAUTIFUL PLAYER and Beautiful Bastard Series!

Player Will! I pretty much fall hard and fast for all of Christina Lauren's guys, but from the moment I picked up Beautiful Player, Will has been my favourite! He's smart, sooooooo sexy...and I love, love, loved seeing his relationship with Hanna develop! I only let myself pick one Christina Lauren guy as a fave, so I had to sneak Finn (from DIRTY ROWDY THING) in this photo since he's my second fave. ;) Honestly I don't think they've written a male lead who I haven't found sexy yet though! ;D

------

4. Archer from Mia Sheridan's ARCHER'S VOICE!

My #SuperSexyBookClub read Archer's Voice as one of our January picks...and he was a HUGE hit! Patty has been a ginormous fan of Archer and Archer's Voice for a long time, so she was pretty happy that we all joined in on the Archer love! This book hit me right in the feels though, and I loved every single minute! Bree and Archer were so good together! I loved that Archer was so sweet and compassionate, but he was also strong, resilient, and so fierce! I loved reading about him, and I loved seeing his character grow....soooooooo good! I also loved how steamy this one was! I was kind of expecting it...but not! I also just had to include my Thor Funko (the Ragnarok version) in this photo because I thought Archer would appreciate it. ;)

Honourable Mentions:

💖Jamie from Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series (TV or books—I’ll never not love JAMMF)
💖Nick from Nicola Rendell’s SHIMMY BANG SPAKRLE
💖Michael from Helen Hoang's THE KISS QUOTIENT
💖Nate from Sarina Bowen's BROOKLYNAIRE
💖Wolfe from L.J. Shen's THE KISS THIEF

[#SuperSexyGalentines] Introduction!

Happy February fellow romance readers!

Last year, I started a brand new romance-centric book club with three of my best girlfriends: Christine from Padfoot's Library, Eden from The Required Reading List, and Patty from Simply Patty. We call it the #SuperSexyBookClub!

We've been speeding through two romances a month since we first brought our book club together, but for February we decided to do something a little different! We decided that we'd put together a challenge to share some of our favourite romances, our favourite characters, and our favourite tropes or genres...and we'd love for you to join us!

Here we go!
I'm super duper excited to introduce you to our #SuperSexyGalentines!

Our challenge is fairly simple, there are four of us, so every week we'll be sharing four of our favourites in a specific category!

What are our categories, you ask?

Well...you can find them listed on this handy graphic:

In case, you have any issues viewing the graphic, here's a text version:
  • Week 1: February 3 - 9th - Top 4 Sexiest Male Leads
  • Week 2: February 10 - 16th - Top 4 Fave Female Leads
  • Week 3: February 17 - 23rd - Top 4 Romantic Reads
  • Week 4: February 24 - 28th - Top 4 Fave Romance Tropes/Genres
As you can see we have four categories that we'll be focusing on, and we'll be sharing each during a certain week. The full challenge will run all through February. I plan to try to post on the first day of each week listed on the graphic, but that could change depending on my schedule. If you're joining in, feel free to post whenever you like. :)

If you'd like to visit our social media profiles across various platforms, you can find us at these links:

We'll also be sharing some posts on Instagram! If you'd like to join in and want to use our graphic, you can find it, here:

Stay tuned throughout February to see our favourite sexy male leads, female characters, romantic reads, and romance tropes/genres!

2012 TBR Pile Reading Challenge

This challenge is to read through your to-read pile, so only books published in 2011 or earlier are allowed, no 2012 releases!

Here's a bit of a summary of the Challenge Guidelines:
It will run from January 1 until December 31, 2012. Each month reviews will be linked to the monthly wrap-up posts which will be hosted on the hosts' blogs. You can move up levels, but not down....so don't start too big. :P Also, at each wrap-up post there will be a unique theme, a mini-challenge, a giveaway, and a place for you to link your reviews to from that month. Each reviews counts as an entry to the giveaway, and participating in the mini-challenge also gets you an entry into the giveaway. December will be the yearly wrap-up and all of your reviews will count as entries, and there will be 12 winners! All of these giveaways are international, but to enter them you will need to follow all of the hosts, however, if you just want to participate in the challenge you don't have to follow all of the hosts.

Levels:
1-10 – A Firm Handshake
11-20 – A Friendly Hug
21-30 – A Sweet Kiss
31-40 – Love At First Sight
41-50 – Married With Children

I'm going with A Friendly Hug first...gonna start on the smaller side and work my way up if it's going well. :P

Here's my tentative list (and like the other challenges, I'll be updating it on my Challenge page):

1. Wither by Lauren DeStefano
2. Fire by Kristin Cashore
3. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
4. Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz
5. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
6. A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young
7. What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen
8. Dust by Joan Frances Turner
9. Wuthering Heights by Charlotte Brontë
10. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
11. Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep
12. Bloodthirsty by Flynn Meaney
13. Stealing Heaven by Elizabeth Scott
14. Before I Die by Jenny Downham
15. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
16. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
17. Hourglass by Myra McEntire
18. Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
19. Fury by Elizabeth Miles
 20. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Since for this one I've got so many books, I'm sure things will change, but these are some that I'd love to get to read in 2012...and I have to read Wuthering Heights for a class, so at least I know I'll get that one read. ;)

Are you participating in the TBR Pile Reading Challenge?
Even if you aren't, what's one book you'd love to get the chance to finally read in 2012??

I think this is the last challenge I'm going to sign up for, so I'm curious, have you signed up for any challenges? Which ones? :)

Happy Reading!!!

Spookiest Read for Halloween Read-A-Thon!!!

If you're participating in the Halloween Read-A-Thon over at Young Adult Books Reviewed, you can find all of the mini-challenges here: http://yabreviewed.blogspot.com/2010/10/welcome-to-halloween-read-thon.html

This blog post is for the reading challenge over at YA Addict's Blog!

She asked participants to blog about their spookiest read!

Okay, so my spookiest read ever was:

...I'm totally kidding. :P

Seriously though, the spookiest book I probably ever read was Night by Elie Wiesel. It wasn't spooky in the traditional sense of ghosts go bump in the night and all that. To me it was spooky because it was real. Those horrendous things happened to real people, and that really got to me.

Spookiness aside, it was an amazing story, and don't tell my high school English teacher this....but I actually really enjoyed reading it.

Happy Reading and Do Svidanya!!!
