It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, is a bookish meme hosted by One Person's Journey Through a World of Books, where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It’s a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list. So hop on over to Journey and join in...and leave a comment here so I can check out what you are reading.
Well, it has been a very long time since my last Monday post, but I'm trying to get back into the habit again, so I'm doing one this week! ;D These are from about the last week and half rather than just last week. ;)
Books I Read Last Week:
- Radiant (Unearthly #2.5) by Cynthia Hand
I went on a bit of a novella kick, and Radiant was one of the ones that I read! I'm actually so glad that I read this one before Boundless because it actually filled in a lot! :D I also liked that this novella alternated between Clara's POV and Angela's...it was interesting! ;D
- Breathless (Firelight #3.5) by Sophie Jordan
- A Dance with Darkness (Angelfire #0.5) by Courtney Allison Moulton
- Neverfall (Everneath #1.5) by Brodi Ashton
- Crushed by Dawn Rae Miller
- Starling (Starling #1) by Lesley Livingston
Reading Now:
- A Dance with Dragons (A Song of Ice and Fire #5) by George R. R. Martin
- Boundless (Unearthly #3) by Cynthia Hand
- Override (Glitch #2) by Heather Anastasiu
- On the Road by Jack Kerouac
- Waste Heritage by Irene Baird
Books I Want to Read This Week:
NONE! I have to finish some of the ones I'm currently reading first. :P haha
-------------------------------------------------------------------
So, I spent the last little bit getting caught up on some awesome novellas, and I read two amazing books! I've also definitely started quite a few books in the last week....hopefully by next Monday I'll be finished a couple of them. ;P
And what are you reading???
Check out One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to see what other people are reading. :)
I started On the Road years ago and never got round to finishing it! I must pick it up again.
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week.
You really should! And hopefully you'll love it! :D
DeleteYou, too! Happy Reading!
I am so totally envious of your reading week last week! I can't wait to read Boundless!
ReplyDeleteHere's what I'm reading
haha well you can always read them all, too. ;) I'd recommend all of them! ;D
DeleteThanks for sharing your link, I'll be sure to check it out! :D
oh yay! I'm so happy you're doing these again... maybe I will too. What a great batch of novellas. I really really need to do that. There are a ton I want to read, also short stories, delirium and birthmarked and unearthly are the three I really want to read. Maybe this week?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great week of reading you have though! I really want to read On The Road at some point. I know what you mean about tiny text though. I also hate that scratchy paper a lot of academic books or classics have.
AND BOUNDLESS. Can't wait to read it. I guess I better pick up Radiant soon then!
YAY! I'm so glad that you did, too! :D They were all so awesome! And they made me feel really productive! ;D I'd totally recommend it. It's a definite perk that they don't take up a tonne of time, too. :)
DeleteOnce you do you'll have to let me know what you think! YES! The scratchy paper does suck...thankfully these ones aren't using super scratchy paper...and at least it's not the super thin kind that I always rip. :S haha
Eeek! So glad your copy came!!! :D Good idea! ;D
hehe oh Boundless didn't come yet, hopefully in another day or two, I was just excited by it in your post and I can't wait to read it myself :D But now I better pick up Radiant first. Whoops!
DeleteOh, I thought you said it came. :P Hopefully it'll be there soon! haha Ya, Radiant first! :)
DeleteI didn't read Radiant and I think I should have before reading Boundless. But it was still amazing. I really want to read Neverfall but I heard it makes Cole into a different person and I'm nervous for that because I love his badassery. I don't want him to be all gushy and cheesy. Hope you love Boundless!
ReplyDeleteIt might have made a bit more sense if you're read it first, but I think most of what went on during it was explained enough in Boundless to figure it out without having read Radiant. Radiant just kind of makes it more clear. :)
DeleteI still thought Cole was super badass! I understood the way that he felt about Nikki a little more, and what his initial obsession with her had to do with...but I don't think it made him less of a badass. He did show a bit of his more musical and romantic sensitive side in his thoughts every once and a while though, but he wasn't gushy and cheesy...so I think you'll like it. :)
So far I am...and hopefully I'll keep loving it! :P haha
I HAVE to read Boundless soon!! I just finished Hallowed and I'm just being washed over with feels. Hope you love it! :) Also, I'm really liking the new background!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes you do! I'm glad that you loved the first two so much, it's an amazing series! :D Thanks, Leanne! :D
