In My Mailbox (13)

In My Mailbox at The Story Siren

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, and inspired by her friend, Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. It's a way to share the books that you've received over the past week. They could come from the bookstore, the library, a friend, your mailbox or wherever. It gives us all a chance to showcase the books that we've gotten, and maybe give others an idea for the book they want to read or buy next. :)

For Review:

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices #2)  by Cassandra Clare (From Simon and Schuster Canada)
Tempest (Tempest #1) by Julie Cross (From NetGalley)

To say that I was excited to have Clockwork Prince show up in my mailbox is a major understatement! I started reading it immediately...and I'm already finished. I'm still coming to terms with my feelings though...this book hit me hard! I think my heart may be broken...at least until another book can make it feel a bit better. I'll talk about it more in my Monday post...and in a review sometime shortly. I'm also excited to read Tempest, and I was so glad to see it on Netgalley. There have been TONNES of giveaways for this one, but most have been US only...so I was stoked to be able to read it through egalley. :)

Bought:

Shadowspell (Faeriewalker#2) by Jenna Black
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Vanish (Firelight #2) by Sophie Jordan
Early to Death, Early to Rise (Madison Avery Trilogy #2) by Kim Harrison
Shade (Shade #1) by JeriSmith-Ready
Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star by Heather Lynn Rigaud
Wickedly Charming by Kristine Grayson
Ascendant (Killer Unicorns #2) by Diana Peterfreund

I had a coupon for free shipping from BookCloseOuts.ca, so I picked up four: Shadowspell, Early to Death..., Shade, and Ascendant. I ordered the other four from The Book Depository, and they all turned up this week. I'm especially excited for Lola! I've already read Vanish, but I'm still so glad to have a hard copy! It's gorgeous! :D

 Other:

She Smells the Dead (Spirit Guide #1) by E.J. Stevens
Spirit Storm (Spirit Guide #2) by E.J. Stevens
(Both Spirit Guide books are from Amber at The Musing of almybnenr for Oct. RAK)
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen (Library)

Amber sent me She Smells the Dead, and Spirit Storm for my Kindle this week for RAK, and I sent her a book as well! :D I'm excited to read these two, they've been on my list for a while. :D Just Listen is one of those Sarah Dessen books that I keep hearing people talk about, so I'm excited that it came in from the library this week...hopefully it won't take me forever to get to reading it. :)

I'd like to say thanks to Simon and Schuster Canada for sending me Clockwork Prince, NetGalley for their awesome galleys, and Amber for sending me She Smells the Dead, and Spirit Storm! :D

As you can see, I've had a great week for books, and since it's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, I even have a bit of time to read some. ;D How about you? What did you get in your mailbox, and if you have a link, feel free to leave it. :D

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my fellow Canadians, and even if you aren't celebrating Thanksgiving right now, I hope you have an awesome weekend! :D

Happy Reading!!!
