In My Mailbox (36)

In My Mailbox at The Story Siren

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, and inspired by her friend, Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. It's a way to share the books that you've received over the past week. They could come from the bookstore, the library, a friend, your mailbox or wherever. It gives us all a chance to showcase the books that we've gotten, and maybe give others an idea for the book they want to read or buy next. :)

For Review:

Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg (Scholastic Canada)
The List by Siobhan Vivian (Scholastic Canada)
Girl Out Loud by Emily Gale (Scholastic Canada)
Blackwood by Gwenda Bond (Netgalley and Strange Chemistry)
Shift by Kim Curran (Netgalley and Strange Chemistry)
The Rake by Mary Jo Putney by Mary Jo Putney (Book Trib and Meryl L. Moss Media Relations)
No Longer a Gentleman (Lost Lords #4) by Mary Jo Putney (Book Trib and Meryl L. Moss Media Relations)

I got some great books this week for review, and I'm really excited for them all. :D It's also a nice variety of genres, so it'll definitely keep me from getting bored of one genre. :P lol

------------------------------------------------------------

Library:

Fallout (Crank #3) by Ellen Hopkins
Bloodrose (Nightshade #3) by Andrea Cremer

Bloodrose finally came in from the library! I've had in on hold for months...which was kind of nice...I'm a bit worried about this one! I've tried to stay away from any spoilers, but I've gotten the feeling that other Ren fans didn't like how it ends...and that worries me because I'm all Ren all the time. :P Fallout also came in, so I'm gonna have to get started on Glass now! :D

------------------------------------------------------------

So, that was my mailbox this week. :) What did you get in your mailbox?? Feel free to tell me in the comments or leave me a link to your IMM post and I'll come take a look. :)

I'm posting this a lot later than usual because I went to see Cabin in the Woods last night, and didn't get home time late. I definitely encourage everyone to go see it, it was actually really awesome. It's a meta-horror, and kind of pokes fun at the things that always happen in horror movies. I found myself laughing a lot more than I found myself cringing in fear, but with Joss Whedon ,I'm not too surprised that it was so awesome. :)

Anywho...onto my mailbox!

For Review:

While He Was Away by Karen Schreck
The Summer of No Regrets by Katherine Grace Bond
The Curiosities: A Collection of Stories by Maggie Stiefvater, Tessa Gratton, and Brenna Yovanoff
The Glimpse by Claire Merle
Silver by Talia Vance

All of the above are from Netgalley and the respective publishers of each book. I'm participating in a blog tour for While He Was Away and The Summer of No Regrets, and I'm definitely looking forward to getting lost in their summery vibes. :) I'm also really excited for the other three. :D

---------------------------------------------------------

Library:

Glass (Crank #2) by Ellen Hopkins
Changing the Game (Play by Play #2) by Jaci Burton

Oh, how I love the library! I've already devoured Changing the Game, and I'm hoping to get to Glass later in the week. :D

---------------------------------------------------------

Bought:

When You Dare (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor #1) by Lori Foster

Yay! I now have this whole series! I'm doing the blog tour for the fourth book, so I wanted to get my hands on the other three. That way I can eventually go back and read what I've missed! ;D Plus, I kind of just like to stare at these covers...they're seriously amazing and the eye-candy is simply delicious, as is Changing the Game, up above! ;D

---------------------------------------------------------

So, I didn't get any actual books in my physical mailbox this week, but I did get some amazing ones from Netgalley, and the library...plus, I finally got my hands on the first book in the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series. :D I hope you all had very full mailboxes this week, and I'd like to thank Netgalley and all of the fabulous publishers on it who provided me with egalleys this week. :D

I'd love to know what you got in your mailbox, too! Feel free to leave a comment letting me know what you got, or a link taking me straight to your IMM post, and I'll come check it out! :D

My brother and I stopped at a Zellers that was closing down and having a liquidation sale, so I snagged Phantom and Trace of Fever for cheap! I'm signed up to do the blog tour for the 4th book in the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series, so I've been collecting the other three...only one more left to get! Plus, the covers are just so yummy! ;) As for Phantom...well I still need to read the one before this, but it was cheap, so I figured, why not? :P Elemental was only $.99 on Amazon, and it's a prequel to Storm, which I'm so excited for! :D I also finally bought Nine's Legacy for my kindle...not sure how I waited this long because I love this series, and I'm really excited to learn more about Nine. :D So excited for it. :D

Taking Shots, and Hunted are both for blog tours. I've already read Taking Shots, and I really enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for romance stories with athletes. :P The other three books were all ones that surprised me in the mail this week, but I have been meaning to start Beth Fantaskey's Jessica series, and I wanted to read What Boys Really Want, so I'm looking forward to that one.

They both were pretty cute. I loved Russel, Kevin, and Dug on Up. They were great pick me up movies this weekend, since I really needed it. I'm excited to read all of these books, too. Most of them have been on my TBR list for a while.

And, Jessica at Confessions of a Bookaholic had a survey giveaway a while back, and I won the International prize, and got to pick two picks equaling about $15, I picked The Secret Year, and Dreaming Anastasia, which will probably come soon since they usually follow pretty quickly from The Book Depository. Thanks, Jessica!

I was so glad to find out it was on Netgalley! :D Oh, and the cover of The Peculiars is really blurry here because it was tiny, and I asked a representative from Abrams about the cover, and they said they're still finalizing it, so this won't be the final one, just thought I'd let everybody know that. :)

Spellcaster (Spellbound #2) by Cara Lynn Shultz (Netgalley)
Goddess Interrupted (Goddess Test #2) by Aimee Carter (Netgalley)
Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown (Netgalley)
Jersey Angel by Beth Ann Bauman (Netgalley)
Fallen in Love (Fallen #3.5) by Lauren Kate (Netgalley)
The Keeper by Natalie Star (Received from the author for participating in blog tour)
Hide and Seek (Games of Zeus #1) by Aimee Laine (from J. Taylor Publishing)
A Perfect Storm (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor #4) by Lori Foster (from Media Muscle)
Under the Same Sky by Genevieve Graham (from Penguin Canada)

Netgalley has some seriously amazing titles right now...and I obviously couldn't resist them. :P I'm really excited for these! :D I'm also super excited for the rest of these books. I haven't read any of Lori Foster's other books, but I was asked if I wanted to be a part of A Perfect Storm's blog tour, and I jumped at the chance. I'm excited to get to read one of these books, too. :D

Gifted:

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver (from my awesome friend, Zoë)

Zoë sent me this one, and I'm so excited to read it. She also bought herself a copy, and we're going to read it at the same time together. I haven't read one of Lauren's books yet, but I'm really excited for it! :D

Bought:

Getting Caught by Mandy Hubbard and Cyn Balog (Amazon Kindle Store)

I say a link for this book on a blog for Kindle deals, and I read the description and couldn't resist it. It sounds like a really great story, and it's written by two very amazing authors. :)

--------------------------------
I also got a bunch of books for school, but I'm too lazy to list all of those. :P I also skipped last week's IMM because I only had the one book, so I just put it for this week. :)

My mailbox was pretty awesome this week, and I'm so excited to read all of the fabulous books I received! So what about you? What's in your mailbox? Feel free to leave a link to your IMM in the comments, and I'll try to stop by and visit. :)

Happy Reading!!!
