Mani Monday (4): My Favourite Colour Combo! :D

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday! Today, my manicure is all about the glitter and the pop power!
The polishes I used for today's mani are Julep's "Monica" and "Kyla"!

For anyone interested in becoming a Julep maven, I'm just going to start posting a disclaimer and referral link in any of the posts where I mention Julep. :P So, you can use my referral link: Become a Julep Maven! And you can get your first Maven box free! Just make sure to put FREEBOX (all one word) in the promo code box. Note: the link I've used is a referral link of my own, so I do get rewarded "Jules" per referral, but if you're really interested in signing up as a maven, I'd really appreciate you using my link. Even if you don't though, make sure you remember the code or your first box won't be free. :)

So...since I'm sure you're curious, my favourite colour combo is orange and pink!!! :D

Take a peek! "Monica" is the pink polish, and "Kyla" is the orange, and they're both multidimensional glitters!

I had a bit of a stressful week last week, and I have a tendency to bite my nails when I really stressed...so you might notice a bit of polish missing from my index finger. Other than my nibbling, the polish did hold up really well, and I love how it looks! :D

 Here's another shot!

I seriously couldn't help staring at my nails and smiling, it's just such a vibrant, and cheerful colour combination! :D I'll definitely be duplicating this mani again, and soon!

What do you think?
Do you like the orange and pink together?
And what's your favourite colour combination for nail polish?

Random Sundays: VERONICA MARS!!!

This "Random Sunday" is definitely going to be dedicated to the Veronica Mars movie! :P

Last night after work I finally saw the Veronica Mars movie...and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! :D

 I'm going to refrain from too many details to avoid spoilers, so my comments are going to be pretty vague, but I was extremely happy!

I loved getting to see characters again! I also loved seeing the smaller characters who were totally personal favourites of mine, like Corny! haha Most of all...and this is probably pretty obvious, I just loved getting to see Veronica again! It was like catching up with an old friend, and I really really loved seeing her reunite with everybody. I loved the bitchy exchange with her high school enemy, her reunion with Weevil, seeing Wallace and Mac, her always entertaining interactions with Dick Casablancas, and of course....LOGAN! ALWAYS LOGAN! I'm a huge LoVe fan, so just seeing them on screen again together was PERFECTION!!  :D I also really loved seeing Keith and Veronica do their awesome father/daughter banter act. :D

And the story itself was AMAZING! It was intense, full of action, and hopefully it'll be just what you were waiting for like it was for me!

I'm also extremely glad that I'm already planning to go see Veronica Mars again tomorrow....because I'm definitely already craving a rewatch of the movie! :D

Have you seen the Veronica Mars movie yet?

Fangirl Fridays(3): GRIMM!!!

"Fangirl Fridays" is pretty self-explanatory: you fangirl about something/someone on Fridays. :) It's a meme-of-sorts that's seen on a lot of tumblr blogs, and I thought it would be a fantastic idea to bring to my blog! I couldn't find someone specific to credit, so whoever first thought of "Fangirl Fridays"...you are awesome! :D I love to fangirl so I'm definitely excited for this!

I've definitely talked about this one on my blog before, but I'm seriously so obsessed with this show right now! My choice for today's Fangirl Friday is GRIMM!!! :D

I remember when Grimm first came out, I wasn't sure if I would like it! It came out around the same time as Once Upon a Time, and they were both about "fairy tales" so I figured it'd be basically the same....I was sooooo wrong! At first, I was only so/so about the show, but with each episode, I grew to love it more and more. I was busy with school for a bit during the first scene, and let the episodes build on my DVR...then I binge watched them all, and I totally fell in love! I still find that each episode gets me more and more hooked!

I love the way that the fairy tales are brought into the show, and the whole "grimm" aspect is fantastic!!!! I also adore the actors! Not only is the lead, David Guintoli fantastic, so are all of the other actors!!! I especially love the bromance between Nick (that's David!), and Monroe!!! :D

Don't these awesome promo shots makes you want to check the show out?

And because I never get enough of sharing Grimm/David Guintoli gifs...here, are some:

 Since you might not have seen Grimm before, I thought I'd share some Monroe gifs, too! :D

So, to tell it to you straight, this show is...

I couldn't have said it better myself, Monroe! ;D

Are you a Grimm fan?
And if you haven't seen the show before, are you a fan of fairy tale retellings?

What I'm Listening To: PARACHUTE!!

I'm trying to keep you all guessing about what I'm going to choose for my music each week! First, I went with musical scores, then I went with five songs that I'm obsessed with, and today I'm going to tell you about one of my absolute favourite bands, PARACHUTE! :D

Link: Parachute's Website
I'm a huge fan of Parachute! I think that their songs are beautiful, and I absolutely LOVE the lead singer's voice...I'll admit, if I like a lead singer's voice, I will pretty much adore every single song I hear. The fantastic thing about Parachute is that their lyrics actually tell stories, which is much rarer today than it used to be.

One of my favourite songs of Parachute's is "Forever and Always"...it actually makes me cry. They don't have a music video for this song, but there are plenty of fanmade videos. I've included one with lyrics below:

)

I seriously love all of their songs, but "The Mess I Made" was one of the first songs of theirs that I heard, so I love it especially just for that. Plus, Jennifer Lawrence is totally in their official music video, so I just have to share it!

)

And finally, I'm going to share Parachute's most recent single, "Can't Help"!

)

Their newest album is called Overnight! It came out in July...and it is AMAZING! :D

Have you ever heard of Parachute before?
Are you a fan?
And if they're new to you, what do you think?

Waiting on Wednesday (3): The Thousand Dollar Tan Line!!

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It gives us the chance to fangirl over all of the books that we can't wait to read!

THE THOUSAND DOLLAR TAN LINE (VERONICA MARS #1) by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham

Hitting the shelves on March 25, 2014 from Vintage

Book Description:

The first book in an original mystery series following popular television sleuth Veronica Mars, all grown up and back in action after the feature film funded by a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign.

Twenty-eight-year-old Veronica Mars is back in the game after the events of Veronica Mars: The Movie. With the help of old friends-Logan Echolls, Mac Mackenzie, Wallace Fennel, and even Dick Casablancas-Veronica is ready to take on Neptune's darkest cases with her trademark sass and smarts.

 MY THOUGHTS

The Veronica Mars movie is in theatres this week, and in just under two weeks the first Veronica Mars book, The Thousand Dollar Tan Line, will come out, so I just had to have it as my WoW this week! :D I'm already planning to see the movie twice during it's week-long run in Edmonton...so freaking EXCITED!!!! :D And, I've got my copy of The Thousand Dollar Tan Line pre-ordered already! I am so excited for more Veronica Mars though. It's been way too long since I've had my witty Veronica fix, and I really really need more Logan. I'm just all about the LoVe! ;)

Any other Veronica Mars fan seriously excited for The Thousand Dollar Tan Line?
Who else is excited for the movie (I totally fangirled over it--so excited! :P)?
And what book are you waiting for this Wednesday?
