Mani Monday (13): Pink + Icey Blue = Frozen?

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday!

Today, my manicure is glittery and pink!
The polishes I used for today's mani are Julep's "Neha" -- the pink one, and "Taryn" -- the blue, glittery one. :)

I'm going to keep it nice and simple today and just show off these polishes because I absolutely LOVE them together! I think I'll be coming back to this colour combo again and again! :D

I also have to admit that part of the reason I love this mani so much is that it reminds me of Disney's FROZEN! The pink totally reminds me of Elsa's pink coat and the blue is the PERFECT Elsa colour!!! :D They really should've name it Elsa...I'm just saying. ;) haha

What do you think?

Do you love this colour combo as much as I do?
And am I crazy (please don't answer that honestly :P jk haha), or does it remind you of Frozen, too?

Mani Monday (12): A Little Bit of Green, A Little Blue...All in One Polish!

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday! Today, my manicure is nice and simple! :)

I just used one polish in my manicure that I'm wearing right now, and it's Julep's"Waleska"!

This one is just a basic manicure, but I really LOVE this colour! It's such a pretty mix of green and blue...and that reminds me of mermaids for some reason. ;D haha

Here it is:

I'm a big fan of colours that are multi-faceted like this, and I am always in the mood for a good green or blue! :D

What do you think?
Do you like the colour of "Waleska"?

Mani Monday (11): Orange You Glad That SINNER Is Out?!

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday!

It should come as no surprise (based on the way I always design my blog anyway :P) that my favourite colour is orange, so anytime that I can put some orange into my nail polish design, I am ecstatic! :D Today I'm sharing the lovely mani I've been rocking for the past few days...and I absolutely LOVE it! :D

The polishes I used for today's mani are Julep's "Dahlia" and "Zoe". "Dahlia" is the yellow/gold-ish colour, and "Zoe" is the orange/bronze-ish colour. :D I also purchased the polishes as a Julep Maven...I think you've all noticed by now that I'm addicted to Julep. :P haha

So, here's my gorgeous mani in "Dahlia" and "Zoe"!!! :D I did a kind of gradient/ombre thing with the two colours, and I absolutely LOVE it!!! :D

The best part about this mani...it was super easy!!! :D I didn't even use my makeup sponges to do this gradient. Since the colours are kind of close together, I just used the normal brushes that came along with the nail polishes, and kind of blended it together that way. :D

My copy of Maggie Stiefvater's SINNER is actually waiting for me to pick it up at the UPS store, but I did notice when I was at Chapters the other day that my nails matched the cover PERFECTLY, so I just had to snap a picture of it!! :D The fact that my nails matched SINNER is also most definitely the inspiration for my cheesy title today, too! haha :P

What do you think?
Do you like this orange/gold gradient?
And what's your favourite colour that you like to add to your manicures?

Mani Monday (10): All You Need is a Little Bit of "Stardust"!!

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday!

I'm a HUGE fan of Julep's textured polishes, so I've jumped at the chance to get any of Julep's newer ones! One of those textured polishes is Julep's Stardust polish in "Jennine"! It's a gorgeous blue colour, and I absolutely adore it!

For today's Mani, I just used Julep's lovely "Jennine" by itself! :D

For anyone interested in becoming a Julep maven, I'm just going to start posting a disclaimer and referral link in any of the posts where I mention Julep. :P So, you can use my referral link: Become a Julep Maven! And you can get your first Maven box free! Just make sure to put FREEBOX (all one word) in the promo code box. Note: the link I've used is a referral link of my own, so I do get rewarded "Jules" per referral, but if you're really interested in signing up as a maven, I'd really appreciate you using my link. Even if you don't though, make sure you remember the code or your first box won't be free. :)

This is what "Jennine" looks like!! :D

Isn't it gorgeous????? :D

I love the texture of this polish. It feels really neat, and it looks awesome, too...almost like sand!! :D I also absolutely love this colour!!! It's so pretty, and it looks amazing all by itself! :D

What do you think?
Do you like "Jennine"?
And are you a fan of textured polishes, too?

Mani Monday (9): "In the Spotlight" ImPRESS Manicure!

I've been slacking a bit this summer on blog posts, but I'm getting my butt in gear a bit more this week, and since it's Monday, it's time for another Mani Monday!
The manicure I'm sharing today is from a couple of weeks ago, but I still love this one every time I look at the pictures!

This is another ImPRESS Manicure by Broadway nails, but this time, it's one that I purchased on my own. I wanted some dressy nails for my University Convocation, so I picked up a pretty set of ImPRESS nails to wear, and I decided on "In the Spotlight"! It's a gorgeous orange and yellow glittery gradient, and I am so smitten with it!

Here's what it looked like:

I really love Broadway's ImPRESS nails, and this design is definitely my favourite out of them all so far! :D

And if this is your first time reading one of my mani posts on Broadway's ImPRESS nails, they're press-on nails that don't require glue! You just pick out the ones that best fit your nails, remove the protective plastic backing which covers the adhesive already on the nails, and then you press them on. It's super duper easy! :) I've also included links to their website so that you can check out all of their gorgeous designs, and even get some additional info on the nails. :)

What do you think?
Do you like this design?
Have you checked out Broadway's ImPRESS Manicures yet?

Mani Monday (8): ImPress Manicure in "Evil Queen"!

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday!

Well...once again, I've been a bit absent from the blog. I've been getting back into working, and I have to admit that I haven't felt up to blogging much lately, but I'm going to try to be more regular about it now. :)

Anyway, today my manicure is courtesy of Broadway Nails and Influenster! I was selected to be a part of the imPRESS Manicure Canada Vox Box, so I received two packages of imPRESS nails. In this post I'm sharing the design that I chose to use first. Also, I received these products so that I could test them and give my honest opinion on them. :)

ImPRESS manicures are pretty neat! You don't need glue or anything like that, and instead you just remove the plastic on the back of the nails and stick them right on top of your own nails. It's really quick and easy, and they're easy to remove if you need to take them off, too. :)

My one suggestion is to make sure that you really press carefully near the cuticle when you apply them because that was the one part of my nail that felt a bit loose on a few of my nails, and it was how the one nail actually fell off. So, if you press really well near the cuticle, your nails might last a bit longer. :)

Okay, now back to the actual manicure! :D This is "Evil Queen" from imPRESS Manicure's Disney Villains line. :)

I absolutely love this design! :D It's a gorgeous purple colour that looks a bit greenish in certain lighting. I've used an imPRESS manicure once before, and I liked it, but this time I liked it even more, and I wasn't ready to take them off. :P

It ended up lasting about 5 days before one of the nails fell off, so they held up pretty well. :) I work in a deli which can be a bit rough on the hands, so I was expecting them to come off much earlier, and I'm actually pretty impressed with how they held up. :)

Overall, I loved this imPRESS manicure in "Evil Queen", and I really hope that I can find the same design again! :D

What do you think?
Do you like this design?
And have you ever used a press on manicure before?

Mani Monday (7): Blue & Orange!

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday! Today, my manicure is all about the glitter and the pop power!
The polishes I used for today's mani are Julep's "Holly" and "Sabrina"!

Ever since I did my nails with the black crackle from Julep for the first time, I've been totally crackle-obsessed! I actually bought Julep's orange crackle, "Sabrina", at the time that I bought their black one, "Ursula", so I decided to use the orange this time. I'm a huge fan of using contrasting colours together, and two of the colours that contrast superbly are blue and orange, so that's what I used for this mani!

I ended up using Julep's "Holly", which is a turquoise-y blue, and their orange crackle, "Sabrina".

Here's how it turned out:

So, as I said, I'm a bit crackle-obsessed right now! I just think that it looks fantastic! :D
I'm also just really loving Julep's crackle polishes. The first crackle polishes I used didn't work nearly as well as theirs, but I love these ones! :D

What do you think?
Do you like to use contrasting colours when you paint your nails?
And are you obsessed with anything with your nails, like I am with crackle polish right now?

Mani Monday (6): Purple & Crackled!

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday! I'm just getting over a cold, so I haven't been blogging as much lately as I was before, but I have a pretty awesome mani to share, so I had to make sure to post today! :D

Today's "Mani Monday" features some crackled polish! :) The polishes I used for today's mani are Julep's "Ursula", "Morgan" and "Alice"!

Here are the polishes I used! "Ursula" is the black crackle polish, and I used two different purples, "Alice" and "Morgan" as the base colours! You can get a peek of  how the mani turned out in the last picture of my collage. :)

And here's a nice closeup of my purple, crackled mani! :)

I really loved how this manicure turned out, and I've already been planning new colour combinations with the black crackle polish, too! :D

What do you think?
Are you a fan of crackled polish?

Mani Monday (5): Matte-ify This!!

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday! Today, my manicure is all about the glitter and the pop power!

The polishes I used for today's mani are Julep's "Marjorie" and "Isla", and New York Color's Matte top coat!

Here are the polishes!

I ended up using "Marjorie" as my base coat, and then doing a strip of "Isla", a metallic shade that's kind of in between white and silver down the centre of each nail. It wasn't as neat as it could've been, but I still was pretty happy with how it turned out. After I let the coats of colour dry a bit, I put on my NYC Matte top coat...which I actually kind of loved!

Here's how it turned out:

I have used matte coloured polishes before, and I'm not usually a fan. I find them very clumpy and difficult to apply, so this top coat is perfect! It goes on like a regular top coat, and makes the colour appear as a matte finish....so awesome!! :D

What do you think?
Are you a fan of Matte polish, and have you ever tried a Matte top coat?

Mani Monday (4): My Favourite Colour Combo! :D

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday! Today, my manicure is all about the glitter and the pop power!
The polishes I used for today's mani are Julep's "Monica" and "Kyla"!

So...since I'm sure you're curious, my favourite colour combo is orange and pink!!! :D

Take a peek! "Monica" is the pink polish, and "Kyla" is the orange, and they're both multidimensional glitters!

I had a bit of a stressful week last week, and I have a tendency to bite my nails when I really stressed...so you might notice a bit of polish missing from my index finger. Other than my nibbling, the polish did hold up really well, and I love how it looks! :D

 Here's another shot!

I seriously couldn't help staring at my nails and smiling, it's just such a vibrant, and cheerful colour combination! :D I'll definitely be duplicating this mani again, and soon!

What do you think?
Do you like the orange and pink together?
And what's your favourite colour combination for nail polish?

Mani Monday (3): Sea Salt Texture!

It's Monday again, so it's time for another Mani Monday! Today, I'm keeping it pretty simple, and am sharing a lovely textured polish.

The polish I used for today's mani is Julep's "Kai" and it's a sea salt texture polish!

Back, to "Kai"! This is the finished look!

I did two coats because I prefer to have total coverage when it comes to most nail polishes, but this one did go on very smooth, so if you're really good at applying the first coat, you might just need one. While it does go on smooth, as it dries the sea salt texture comes out...and I have to admit, that part was pretty awesome! :D

I really like this one by itself! It reminds me of a bright blue sky on a clear day, but I think it could also be really neat with some kind of design. I keep picturing a beige or sand colour for the beach. :) Or have the blue as the sky with some birds just drawn as V's on it, or even a beach ball and swimmers or something...maybe I'll have to attempt a design with this one next time. ;)

What do you think of "Kai"?
Are you a fan of textured polishes?
And have you ever tried a sea salt finish polish?

Mani Monday (2): Stardust Starlight!

Once again, I'm sharing my nail obsession today. :)

For this mani that I'm sharing I actually used three nail polishes from Julep. In my post last Monday, I mentioned how you can become a Julep Maven, too, but in case you missed it here's a referral link if you're interested in joining Julep: Become a Julep Maven! You can also get your first Maven box free, too. :)

Now, back to my nails! For Feburary's Maven Box, I couldn't resist getting myself both of Julep's new "Stardust" finish polishes "Glam Roc" and "Cameron", and I'm so glad that I got them because they're gorgeous, and the texture is really neat! Also, everyone who got a February box received "Love" as a freebie, so for this mani, I used all three. :)

I ended up doing both of my pinkies in "Love", and then I used each of the Stardust polishes as a main colour on one hand, with the alternating Stardust polish on the index fingers. I actually really love doing my hands two different colours, it just stands out so much, and I loved it with the stardust polishes! :D

What do you think?
Do you like to do your nails different colour sometimes, too?
And how do you feel about textured polishes?

Mani Monday (1): Gradients and Dots!

I've always loved painting my nails, but recently, since I've gotten totally obsessed with Julep, I've been doing my nails A LOT more! And since I've been doing my nails more, I've been wanting to share them with you all. :)

I even became a Julep Maven a while ago! When you sign up as a Maven, you can actually get your first Maven box FREE! Here's a referral link if you're interested in joining: Become a Julep Maven! To get the free box after signing up, just make sure to put FREEBOX (all one word) in the promo code box. Note: that is a referral link of my own, so I do get rewarded "Jules" per referral, but if you're really interested in signing up as a maven, I'd really appreciate you using my link. Even if you don't though, make sure you remember the code or your first box won't be free. :)

Anyway, back to my nails! :P

I bought myself a pack of nail dotters a while back, and I've been wanting to try out gradients so with these nails, I tried out both! :D

The four polishes I used were: Celeb City (silver), Black Out (black), Blizzard Blue (blue), and Hot Magenta (pink) from Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear line. I did silver as my base, and then I did a gradient of pink and blue with a makeup sponge. And finally, I used my dotter to do black (Black Out) dots all over my nails. :)

Here are some closer shots of my nails once I finished:

I think the pink showed up really well, but the blue is harder to see. I do still love the effect of both though because at certain angles, the blue added a bit of dimension, and I just absolutely loved the whole pop of colour gradient on top of the silver background. It ended up being a little messy near the edges of my nails, but all in all, I was very happy with my first attempt at gradients, and with dotting my whole nail. :D

What do you think?
Do you like the gradients and dots?
