Fangirl Fridays (5): OUTLANDER!!!

"Fangirl Fridays" is pretty self-explanatory: you fangirl about something/someone on Fridays. :) It's a meme-of-sorts that's seen on a lot of tumblr blogs, and I thought it would be a fantastic idea to bring to my blog! I couldn't find someone specific to credit, so whoever first thought of "Fangirl Fridays"...you are awesome! :D I love to fangirl so I'm definitely excited for this!

TODAY IS ALL ABOUT OUTLANDER!!! :D

Well, well, well! It's been a while since my last Fangirl Friday, but I thought that today would be the perfect day to start up with it again. I've already gushed about today topic, Outlander, a little bit, but I'm in the midst of a budding obsession so I have to admit that I just am not even close to being sick of fangirling over Outlander yet! :P

Before I start gushing even more about the show, I absolutely LOVED the book! Diana Gabaldon tells an amazing story!! I can't believe that I've been waiting this long to read the Outlander series, but I'm so glad that I finally started it! I've got plenty of books to catch up with, so here's hoping that I love them all! So far I'm on the second book, Dragonfly in Amber, and I'm loving it, too!  :D

As I've said before, I'm completely in love with this adaptation! I feel like they've done an amazing job with absolutely everything--the cast, the setting, the clothing, the tone of the show...it's all perfect! The cast in particular are absolutely amazing! When it comes to fangirling about this show though, my favourite part to fangirl over is Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser. :P

So, enjoy some sexy gifs with Sam as Jamie...and even some with Catriona Balfe as Claire. The chemistry, oh boy! It is strong with these two. ;)

This one is definitely my favourite. ;)

I found a couple of fantastic tumblrs that had these gifs. If you like them, or if you like Outlander, check them out: "Do Ye Not Know That, Sassenach?", and Sexier Than Braveheart.

If you like hearing Sam Heughan speak Gaelic, or want to learn some words, you can also watch videos of him and some of the other cast pronouncing and explaining words they use on the show. :)

A bunch of them are on Youtube, so here you go! I've embedded the first video, where you can watch Sam saying "Sassenach"! (You'll definitely want to make the video bigger! ;D):

Outlander! Outlander! Outlander!

Okay, I think I've gotten my fangirl out for a bit...but I'm sure you'll be seeing more random gifs or pictures of Sam Heughan as Jamie in the future. ;)

Where are my fellow Outlander fans?
Who else is seriously loving the show?
Anyone just here to enjoy the sexy gifs? ;)

Fangirl Fridays(4): DIVERGENT!

TODAY IS THE OFFICIAL THEATRICAL OPENING OF DIVERGENT FOR CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES!!! :D I'm not sure where else it releases today and when it releases for everywhere else, but hopefully if you're somewhere that it isn't opening in yet, you won't have to wait too long!

I saw it last night...and it was amazing! I seriously just loved it! I wasn't too sure about Shailene Woodley at first, but she really grew on me, and I can totally picture her as Tris...and Theo. *dreamy sigh* I seriously remember thinking he was too old when he was cast as Four, but I told myself to just wait and see what he could do, and once I saw a trailer for the film I was sold...and he was even better in the whole movie. Seriously, I loved Theo James as Four! He's so freaking perfect as Four...and I think I'm definitely going to have to go and watch absolutely EVERY movie and such that's he's been in now because he is awesome. :P I really enjoyed Shailene, too, but Theo was definitely my favourite! haha

I was trying to find fun Theo James memes, and these are the ones I loved the most! haha

I thought that they did a pretty good job at remaining faithful to the book, too. They did change some stuff, but nothing that really bothered me, and the scenes that I loved the most were done so well...and I loved them so much. The whole capture the flag and ferris wheel scene in particular was awesome, as were all of the scenes between Tris and Four!! And the serum sequences were amazing, and so stunning! I just loved how the filmmakers brought them to life!! :D

I also got myself the soundtrack the other day, and was getting pumped listening to it yesterday before I went to see the movie. I didn't even realize that there was a regular edition, and a deluxe one, but luckily the deluxe edition was the one I got, and the music is fantastic! :)

So to sum up that fangirling gush-fest, I loved the DIVERGENT movie...and the soundtrack, too!!

And I'll just leave you with this. ;)

Have you seen it yet?
If you have, what do you think?
And if you haven't, are you planning to see it?
And just in general, are you a fan of book-to-movie adaptations?

Fangirl Fridays(3): GRIMM!!!

I've definitely talked about this one on my blog before, but I'm seriously so obsessed with this show right now! My choice for today's Fangirl Friday is GRIMM!!! :D

I remember when Grimm first came out, I wasn't sure if I would like it! It came out around the same time as Once Upon a Time, and they were both about "fairy tales" so I figured it'd be basically the same....I was sooooo wrong! At first, I was only so/so about the show, but with each episode, I grew to love it more and more. I was busy with school for a bit during the first scene, and let the episodes build on my DVR...then I binge watched them all, and I totally fell in love! I still find that each episode gets me more and more hooked!

I love the way that the fairy tales are brought into the show, and the whole "grimm" aspect is fantastic!!!! I also adore the actors! Not only is the lead, David Guintoli fantastic, so are all of the other actors!!! I especially love the bromance between Nick (that's David!), and Monroe!!! :D

Don't these awesome promo shots makes you want to check the show out?

And because I never get enough of sharing Grimm/David Guintoli gifs...here, are some:

Since you might not have seen Grimm before, I thought I'd share some Monroe gifs, too! :D

So, to tell it to you straight, this show is...

I couldn't have said it better myself, Monroe! ;D

Are you a Grimm fan?
And if you haven't seen the show before, are you a fan of fairy tale retellings?

Fangirl Fridays (2): FROZEN!

Last week I fangirled over my excitement for Veronica Mars...it's just a week away everyone!!! SO EXCITED!!! And this week, I'm fangirling over FROZEN

Okay...so you might have noticed something in common between the two...Kristen Bell, and I must admit that I'm a bit of a fangirl for her in general. ;D haha

I'm definitely a Disney fangirl in general, but I've really been loving their newer films! Tangled was AMAZING, too...and I love to rewatch it! Brave was also fantastic...and Frozen, it was superb! I really love Disney's new animation style, and I thought the film absolutely was GORGEOUS...and the story was so wonderful!

This article, "7 Moments That Made 'Frozen' the Most Progressive Disney Film Ever" (my friend Eilidh from Recovering Potter Addict shared this article with me a while back, so thanks again Eilidh!), describes a lot of the reasons why I loved Frozen so much. It's way more than just a fun, and beautiful movie. It's such a strong film, and sends so many amazing messages, and I think that this is the kind of film that young children, both boys and girls, are going to see and actually learn from....in a positive way. I really love Disney films, I do, but I have to agree when people say that some of the messages in their films really aren't good for kids. Women really don't need men to rescue them...and you should never have to totally change who you are to be with someone, so I think newer films like Frozen are sending extremely positive messages and telling them in a very enjoyable way.

You may have seen this gem floating around tumblr or other websites...and I have to say, it really is about time. I definitely love the fairy tale endings, but it is nice to get a dose of reality in there. ;)

Now, let's move away from the serious talk. Frozen definitely sends positive messages, but it's also just a ginormous bundle of FUN! The great animation...and the music are so lively and riveting! I'm pretty much going to rewatch my copy of the film nonstop once I get it. :P On that note, I convinced myself that Frozen came out on DVD this past Tuesday, and was totally crushed when I realized I mixed up the date and that it doesn't come out until March 18th...I'm so ready for it then though!!!

I already listen to my soundtrack constantly, and the score is super fun, too...so next step is to watch the film a bunch, too! haha :D

I  shared the video for "Let It Go" on my blog yesterday when I posted about music I'm currently obsessed with, but I love it so much...I'm sharing it again!

ENJOY!

And I just have to say that I seriously want Elsa's hair so bad!

Fangirl Fridays(1): VERONICA MARS!!!!

And for my first "Fangirl Friday", I'm going to focus on VERONICA MARS! :D

I was a HUGE fan of the TV show, but unfortunately, I had basic cable and so once it changed channels after its first season, I didn't have access to it anymore! That means I didn't get to finish it until I asked for all three seasons for Christmas one year when I was in high school...and then I proceeded to watch the show nonstop over my Christmas break. My best friend and I even had a Veronica Mars marathon!

Since I loved it so much, it shouldn't be too surprising that I was upset that it got cancelled, and when given the chance to be a part of the Veronica Mars Kickstarter...I jumped at the chance, and I absolutely CANNOT wait to watch the movie! I already have my ticket for the opening weekend, and am planning to see it multiple times...plus, I'll be getting a digital copy and hard copy thanks to the Kickstarter, too! :D

Have you seen the EPIC (I had to!) movie poster yet?

There's also a really neat website called Veronica Mars - Race to the Box Office, which has a bunch of Veronica Mars extras that get unlocked the more its shared and the closer we get to the release date.

These awesome images are from the website (Source)! You can click on them and open them in a new page or tab to make them bigger, too. :)

I also made sure to get a copy of Entertainment Weekly last week because Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring were on the cover! Don't you just LoVe it? ;D

All of the info about Veronica Mars in the magazine was super interesting, too! I'm really glad that I made sure to get a copy! Entertainment Weekly also has some awesome Veronica Mars pictures on their website right now, and you can find them HERE! :D

I'm just ridiculously excited for this movie!! I'm also excited for the books they're making, which I'll be talking about on Monday because I have a cover to show off! :P And, there's even talk of continuing Veronica Mars somehow...and I am SO on-board with that, no matter how it happens! :D

What about you?
Are you a Marshmallow?
