Waiting on Wednesday (6): Since You've Been Gone!!

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It gives us the chance to fangirl over all of the books that we can't wait to read!

SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE by Morgan Matson

Hitting the shelves on May 6, 2014 from Simon & Schuster

Book Description:

The Pre-Sloane Emily didn't go to parties, she barely talked to guys, she didn't do anything crazy. Enter Sloane, social tornado and the best kind of best friend—the one who yanks you out of your shell. But right before what should have been an epic summer, Sloane just... disappears. No note. No calls. No texts. No Sloane. There’s just a random to-do list. On it, thirteen Sloane-selected-definitely-bizarre-tasks that Emily would never try... unless they could lead back to her best friend. Apple Picking at Night? Ok, easy enough.Dance until Dawn? Sure. Why not? Kiss a Stranger? Wait... what?

Getting through Sloane’s list would mean a lot of firsts. But Emily has this whole unexpected summer ahead of her, and the help of Frank Porter (totally unexpected) to check things off. Who knows what she’ll find?

Go Skinny Dipping? Um...

 MY THOUGHTS

I absolutely LOVE Morgan Matson!!! Her debut novel, Amy & Roger's Epic Detour, is still one of my favourite YA contemporaries, and I'm always recommending it to people! HEY YOU! If you still haven't read it, you totally should. ;) haha I also just loved her sophomore novel, Second Chance Summer, too! Her stories are so powerful, so true, and are jammed full of emotion! Just this last week, I actually received Since You've Been Gone in the mail...and I had a seriously fangirl freakout over it!!! I'm so excited to start it, and I'm hoping that once I'm finished all of my assignments for the semester, I can dive in and devour it! ;D

Is anyone else a Morgan Matson fangirl?
And what do you think of Since You've Been Gone?
Does it sound like a book you'd like to read?

  1. Eep! I am one of these people you speak of who hasn't read Amy & Roger's Epic Detour (or any of Morgan Matson's books) and definitely should. People are always raving about it so I have a good feeling I will love it as much as everyone else... it's just about finding the time to read it!!
