Stacking the Shelves (16)

Stacking the Shelves is Tynga's Reviews' version of In My Mailbox (from The Story Siren and inspired by Alea at Pop Culture Junkie).

Stacking the Shelves is a way to share the books that you're adding to your physical and virtual bookshelves. It's easy to participate. You just make your own post, and link it to the main post over at Tynga's Reviews. Also, in case you're curious, Tynga's post for it goes up on Saturdays, but you can post it any day that you like. :) You can find out more about participating by reading the Stacking the Shelves Launch post.

Since I didn't post last week, this StS is what I got in the past 2 weeks. :)

For Review:

Things I Can't Forget (Hundred Oaks #3) by Miranda Kenneally (from Xpresso Book Tours)
The Almost Truth by Eileen Cook (from Simon and Schuster Canada)
Georgetown Academy: Book 2 by
Silent Echoes (Games of Zeus #2) by Aimee Laine (from J. Taylor Publishing)

I've gotten some fabulous review books in the past couple weeks! :D I'm excited for all of these, especially Things I Can't Forget now that I read Stealing Parker! :D

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Won:

Hunger (Riders of the Apocalypse #1) by Jackie Morse Kessler (won from Zoe at In the Next Room)

I've already read this one, and I have a copy, so I'm sharing it with someone for Christmas....shhhh. I won't tell you who I'm going to give it to though, that way it'll still be a surprise. ;) This is an amazing series though, so I'd definitely recommend starting it! :D

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Bought:

Wallbanger by Alice Clatyon (Kindle)
My Favorite Mistake by Chelsea M. Cameron (Kindle)
Unmaking Hunter Kennedy by Anne Eliot (Kindle)
Rock the Heart (Black Falcon #1) by Michelle A. Valentine (Kindle)
Rockoholic by C.J. Skuse (Book Depository)
All These Things I've Done (Birthright #1) by Gabrielle Zevin (Book Depository)
Hemlock (Hemlock #1) by Kathleen Peacock (The Book Cellar)
A Midsummer Tight's Dream (Misadventures of Tallulah Casey #2) by Louise Rennison (The Book Cellar)
Until I Die (Revenants #2) by Amy Plum (The Book Cellar)
Partials (Partials Sequence #1) by Dan Wells (The Book Cellar)
Struck (Struck #1) by Jennifer Bosworth (The Book Cellar)
Bewitching (Kendra Chronicles #2) by Alex Flinn (The Book Cellar)

I kind of went a little book crazy in the last little while, but I couldn't resist! :D I picked up a few of the books on my Kindle wishlist, and found Wallbanger, which I had already read as Fanfiction...and have now read again! And I still loved it! :D I also had a few of my books come from the Book Depo, like Rockoholic! Yes!!! :D And I stopped at The Book Cellar earlier this week and couldn't resist picking up some awesome titles...I only spent about $14 on those six! Pretty awesome deal. ;D Thanks for telling me they got some new ones in, Megan from Megan Likes Books! :D

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to Zoe, Thomas Allen and Sons, Simon and Schuster Canada, Coliloquy, J. Taylor Publishing, Giselle from Xpresso Book Tours, and Miranda Kenneally for providing the review copies for the tour. :D

So, those are the books I got over the past two weeks...what did you get? :)

  2. The Book Cellar has Partials?!?! I didn't see it when I was there. I think I need to make another trip! I swear I'm going to talk myself into buying every YA book there before long. I've been going there every week lately. My bookshelf is so full now, I think the bf is going to get me a new set of shelves for Xmas.

    1. I didn't see lots of them, so I might have found the last one, but I'm not sure! haha Oh, I know! I'm the same! I asked for a bookshelf from my parents for Christmas already...can't wait to fill it up! :D

  3. Wow, you went on quite a spree there girlie. Ive been wanting to read hemlock for a long while now! I hope you love it. I've heard that "All these things I've done" is horrible... so ill be looking out for your review. I also didn't really like the first book of 'until I die', which the name escapes me now (you know I don't like a book enough when I can't remember the name...) is it called die for me? Maybe not. hm. Anways, it was typical and pretty lame..... Did you like it?!

    1. I sure did...it is for two weeks though, so it could've been worse. ;) haha I hope so, too. Really, I hadn't heard that at all. In fact, I'd heard the exact opposite and that it was really good. I probably won't review it though since I bought it myself and I tend not to review all the books I buy...makes it feel like a chore if I do it for every book. :P Haven't read the first book, and I think it is Die For Me. I just bought the first one a while back and saw the sequel and figured I'd get it since it was only $1.99. :P

  5. Wow, you did go a little bit crazy. I asked my brother to stop by The Book Cellar, but he has no time because he's just been studying most of the time. I think his first exam is tomorrow? Haha, are the books used or new though? That's my only question.

I still have to get started on Miranda Keneally's books, everyone has just been raving about it.

    1. I always do! I totally bought 6 more there today...but I spent less than $10 so I don't feel too bad. :P haha They're new, but they do sometimes (usually for the most part) have a line drawn on the pages with sharpie because they're overstocked books. For the most part though, they're in great shape. :D

      You really should! :D

    1. Probably because it's a small bookstore in HUB Mall at the U of A. :P It's not exactly some huge bookstore that everybody knows about. :P

      You should. :D
