Blue Moon Blog Tour: Character Interview and Giveaway!

Just two days ago, Blue Moon by J.A. Belfield was released, so today I am participating in the book's blog tour! I've already read it, and it was fabulous! As always, J.A. Belfield has wowed me with her words and she's also generously offered me the opening slot of her Blog Tour!

So....today for the Blue Moon blog tour, I have a special guest...JEM STONEHOUSE from the Holloway Pack Series! :D

You can read my interview with her below. My questions are in bold and her answers follow each one.

Keep scrolling down to comment...and enter a giveaway! ;D

Hi Jem! :D Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and hopefully Sean doesn’t mind me stealing your attention for a little while. :)

He can deal. Thanks for having me.

The last little while has been crazy for you! The last time we saw you before Blue Moon, you had finally accepted your history with Sean and your place in the Pack. How have you adjusted to your Pack life?

I’m not really sure that much adjusting has been necessary—not when it’s been mostly like slipping into my most comfy pair of sweats and settling down in front of my most comforting film whilst nibbling on the most comforting food. Which probably sounds a bit barf-worthy. But that’s the way it is. The pack have always made me feel welcome, and I’ve pretty much always felt as though I belong. It’s more that we’ve all settled into a comfortable—there’s that word again—routine that works for everyone involved. :)

We get to see more of your sister, Jess, in Blue Moon. How has your relationship with her changed since you’ve become a werewolf and gotten together with Sean?

Not an awful lot, to be honest. I mean, obviously she says ‘I told you so’ a lot about the whole existence of werewolves debate we spent years having, but she hasn’t treated me any differently. Sure, she has plenty of questions, and sure, she has plenty to say, but, trust me, that’s really no different to how she was before.

Now, I’ve read Blue Moon, so I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, but I have to ask…after your ordeal, do you think you’re going to be even more apprehensive about your boys dating?

I’d like to say I wasn’t apprehensive about Josh dating (or Dan), that it was more to do with not liking their choices too much, but I think a more honest answer would have to be YES! Though, I guess just how much I’ll worry will depend on which pack member it is, and who they bring home—because not all the guys are as naive as Josh, and not all females are ... um ... unsuitable.

You and your Pack are going to be going through some tough times in the next while, how are you all dealing with the things that have happened and the lasting effects?

Yeah, not too well. The house has been pretty sombre whilst we all try to deal with what’s been left behind by the ordeal.

Next time we see you will be in the novella, Resonance, and that has to do with you dealing with the aftermath of what happened in Blue Moon…can you give us a hint about what kind of state you’re going to be in when we start the novella?

Well, timeline-wise, Resonance falls fairly soon after the end of Blue Moon, so life pretty much sucks, and I have no idea if that will change—how it can change. I’ve had to place a lot of faith in Jess. I’m really hoping that doesn’t begin to waiver.

After Resonance, it will be Ethan’s first Holloway Pack book, Caged. How is he as a big brother? And do you think we’ll be ready for a book full of Ethan?

Do I think you’re ready for a whole book of Ethan? Probably not. I mean, he’s tough, and all that. And loyal. And courageous. And will go to the ends of the earth to protect those he gives a damn about. However, he’s also a huge pain in the bum and in a world all of his own with his sense of humour—which I guess kind of answers your first question, eh?

And my final question, are you and Sean planning a family of your own yet? ;)

Um ... it’s not something we’ve talked about.

Thanks again for chatting with me, Jem! It’s been a pleasure. :)

Thank you for having me. I enjoyed the reprieve.

Instinct Tour: Sean Interview and Giveaway!

In honour of Valentine’s Day today and for Instinct’s virtual tour, I have Sean Holloway here as my guest! I’ve asked him some burning questions, and I hope that you all enjoy them!

Well, any Holloway Pack fans who haven’t read Instinct yet might be surprised to know that it’s set centuries before Darkness and Light, so the Sean I’m interviewing today is from a time pretty different from our own...and he’s pretty different from the Sean we’re used to. :P So, Sean, how about you tell us a bit about your life?

Which part exactly? The part where I have to mingle with humans at my brother’s demand? Or the part where I am permitted to stay true to my nature and run free through the forest of Wild Woodington? I would much rather talk of the latter. After all, I no longer have a taste for the villagers. Not since meeting Jem. *smiles* She is more than capable of meeting all of my … needs.

You were quite the ladies man, but when Jem came along that all changed. What makes her so different from other women?

Yes, I have heard the ‘ladies man’ rumours. Of course, as rumours often go, they are far from true. Surely, to be considered a true ladies man, I would be adept at wooing and conversing with humans of the opposite sex. I had no need to talk. *arches eyebrow* I beckoned …. They came.
And as for what makes Jem different? *smiles* You would have to smell her the way I do to understand.

Since it’s Valentine’s Day today, how about you tell us how you usually would have celebrated it before you met Jem?

Valentine’s Day is a human tradition. *frowns* Human traditions leave me confused.
And....how has the way you celebrate today changed since Jem came along?

Should it have? Though, I hear tell that Valentine’s Day is a celebration between lovers. *shares a slow smile* Surely, that would make every day as such for Jem and I? And whilst I have gladly regaled my pack brothers in the past of tales of my seductions … what occurs between Jem and I is too sacred to impart.

Did you get her anything special or surprise her with anything today? Something you wouldn’t mind sharing with us anyway. :P

As in a gift? *frowns* I have never quite understood the human need for such trivialities. Although … every intimate moment with Jem leaves me surprised. I would imagine she is affected in the same way.

What about Jem? Did she do anything special for you today? :)

Jem has no need to pamper. She accepts me. Surely, that alone is special enough.

Finally, since I’m sure I’m not the only one anxious to know more....how are you and Jem doing?? Hopefully you can tell us a little bit without spoiling us for Eternal. :P

Jem struggled to accept my … actions to begin. However, she has since come to understand how little option I was left with. In the beginning, I merely yearned for a way to continue spending time with Jem. The life I have now—with Jem—is something I dared not have hoped for. It goes beyond even my ultimate dreams. Even more so with my pack brothers embracement of her presence.

Thank you so much for chatting with us today, Sean! Now hurry back to Jem or she’ll be jealous that you’re spending part of your Valentine’s Day with us. :P

There are many reasons to hurry back to Jem. Though, I very much doubt risk of jealousy to be one of them. *smiles* Thank you for your hospitable company, Ambur. Until next time.

Review: Instinct (A Holloway Pack Story #0 - Prequel) by J.A. Belfield

Source: Received an ebook from publisher for an honest review.
Release Date: January 1, 2012
Visit its page on the publisher website: Instinct

Description:
Werewolf Sean Holloway treats the village marketplace like a sexual buffet, though his charm does little to win over his latest entrĂ©e of choice. Whether because of Jem Stonehouse’s unique scent, her headstrong nonchalance, or the fact he is forbidden to see her by his pack’s rules, Sean wants her.

When Jem is nothing but flippant toward his advances, he pursues her with vigour, stealing moments alone with her without a libido-driven agenda.

The new and heady experience for him drives their relationship beyond romantic interest, and straight toward love.

That is, until Jem learns the truth about Sean’s heritage. Knowledge of the existence of werewolves leads to only one outcome: death.

In this prequel to Darkness & Light, we are taken back in time, to the very beginning of Jem and Sean’s love-across-the-centuries relationship.

Did it end there? Or did Sean defy his own pack to save the woman he loves?

Well, I'm sure it will come as no surprise that I loved Instinct. I have yet to read one of J.A. Belfield's books that I haven't liked, or loved actually...and if Sean's involved, it usually leads to an automatic love for me. (Although, I love me some Ethan, too, but I think everyone does really. ;D)

Instinct is a novella that predates Darkness and Light, it also predates the Sean and Jem from it...in fact, this novella shows the very first Sean and Jem. I love that we get to see Sean and Jem in a different time, and get to see them being completely different. Don't get me wrong, I love Darkness and Light Sean and Jem, but I'm also a huge sucker for past lives. :)

Sean is a big-time womanizer...seriously, he has a different lady every Tuesday...the one time his older brother (and alpha) lets him visit the market...until he meets Jem that is. :) Once Sean smells Jem's wonderful scent and lays eyes on her, he is a total goner. Other girls just don't appeal to him anymore, and he actually wants to...egad!...talk to a woman...while she still has clothes on. Blasphemy, but he does it. :P Okay, now I'm going to be serious. Sean pretty much does a 180 once he meets Jem, and the more time he spends with her, the more compelled he becomes. I loved falling in love with them. It was wonderful, and despite all of the things standing in their way, Sean is still determined to be with her. He's just so determined, and I love that about Sean...even if he is a total extremist. :P

One of the things that I found the most interesting about Instinct was that we get Sean's side of their love. In Darkness and Light, it's all Jem, so Instinct is almost a reversal in a sense, especially since Jem seems to be more hesitant one in their relationship. In Instinct, the circumstances are all different, and Jem is unsure, but a lot more willing to be with Sean...of course, she also doesn't have a husband already in this one. :P

I loved Instinct! It's a fantastic novella, and I think you could read it before or after Darkness and Light. It's really up to you, but personally, I liked having read Darkness and Light because it was kind of nice going from where they are now to looking back at where their relationship truly started. I completely recommend Instinct, and the rest of the books in the Holloway Pack series. I love this series, and I think that J.A. Belfield tells amazing werewolf stories. :D

Have you read any of J.A. Belfield's books yet? Thoughts on Sean?
Do you like werewolves? What about British werewolves...hmmm?
And, what do you think about past lives?

Happy Reading!!!
