It's Monday, What Are You Reading? (84)

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, is a bookish meme hosted by One Person's Journey Through a World of Books, where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It’s a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list. So hop on over to Journey and join in...and leave a comment here so I can check out what you are reading.

Books I Read Last Week:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
I finished this one in time for the movie! Boo yah! :D And I absolutely loved it! I was texting Rola from xo' reads about it...and she did not love it...so it was kind of neat to get to hear someone else's perspective on the story, and I'm looking forward to hearing what some of the other Edmonton Book Bloggers thought when we go see the movie later today! :D

Looking for Alaska
This book was so not what I expected it to be...not at all, but I still loved it...and I cried like a baby frequently while reading it. I'd definitely recommend this one if you're looking for something that will make you laugh, and have you in tears...sometimes within several pages.

Hidden (Firelight, #3)
My pre-order of Hidden came in the male last week, and I devoured it yesterday! :D It was a pretty quick read...or maybe I was so desperate to know what happened that I just sped through it...who knows. :P haha Anyway, I'm still torn about this series. I love it, and I loved this book, but this is one love triangle that always leaves me tormented because I absolutely loved Cassian, but I also love Will. It makes it much harder when you through Jacinda's feelings in the mix too, let me tell you that. :P I would actually love a spinoff series from this trilogy though because I'd love to read more about Sophie Jordan's draki! Also, the ending of this trilogy is so open-ended that you definitely could do a spin-off or even a series that continues later on when they're older...hint, hint...if you ever read this Sophie Jordan, that would be awesome! ;D

Reading Now:
The Last Temptation of Christ
Still not very far in this one, but I'm almost at chapter 5...woo hoo! It's a bit of a slow read, and a little confusing, but I'll get through it for my group presentation. It just might take a while. :P

Books I Want to Read This Week:
The Fault in Our Stars
I told Leanne from Escaping with Books that I'd borrow her my copies of Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars...so I figured now would be the perfect time to read them both! haha It was just the nudge I need I guess. ;) haha

So...I read a whole whopping three books this week! I'm actually a little surprised with myself, since I definitely didn't expect to read that many, and while I'm still swamped with textbook readings (which I totally don't mention on these things because...well, they're textbooks :P), reading for myself was definitely something that really helped me relax this week. :)

So, what are you reading???
