It's Monday, What Are You Reading? (81)

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, is a bookish meme hosted by One Person's Journey Through a World of Books, where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It’s a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list. So hop on over to Journey and join in...and leave a comment here so I can check out what you are reading.

Books I Read Last Week:
This one was amazing! I'm still thinking about it after having finished it earlier in the week. It's one of those books that really makes you think, and it's also so beautifully written. It's not necessarily a happy story, but it is a fantastic book to read. If you haven't had the opportunity to read one of Ellen Hopkins' books yet, I fully recommend that you give them a shot. If you're unsure about poetic verse, you can find most of them at the library....I totally suggest that you do. I've already got another one, Tricks, waiting on my shelf from the library. ;D

These ones were an amazing deal on Amazon, so I couldn't resist, and I quickly finished this one. :) The characters great, and I loved it. :D

This is the sequel to Playing For Keeps, and I loved this one, too. I really love how the author writes her characters, and I like the way that the romances are developed. I'm definitely going to be reading the third one once it's released. :D

Reading Now:
  • May B. by Caroline Starr Rose
I'm not very far into this one yet, but it's okay so far. I'm hoping that I'll get caught up in it soon. :)

Books I Want to Read This Week:
I was accepted for an eARC of this one on Edelweiss and I can't wait to read it!!! :D Eeek! I'm gonna try and start it right away! :D

And what are you reading???

Check out One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to see what other people are reading. :)

  9. I hope you like May B. ! It was such a short read but I thought it was incredibly well written and really gave you a sense of time and place. I also liked Identical. I haven't read Tricks yet so I'll be especially interested to see what you think (and did you notice Hopkins has a new adult title coming out also?)

I'm excited you got approved for the Pitticus Lore series, I know how much you love those books! YAY. I hope it is awesome.

As a side note, sorry I haven't been around or commenting much or anything lately, I'm in the middle of this horrible thing called a month of vacation (one week left). It's been terrible :P But I have had limited internet until last week and I've been trying not to spend too much time online while I'm at the beach!

    1. I did! :D I wasn't sure at first, but it totally swept me up. I agree. The sense of time was wonderful, kind of warped because May was so confused about it herself, and it definitely defined the place very well. :) I did know that, and I'm excited for it! :D

Thanks, Zoë! I do indeed love them. I started it last night and almost stayed up all night reading...I made myself go to bed though, but I'm about halfway through. :D

That's okay! I knew you were on vacation. :P I'm glad you're almost back though!!! :D I think that's a good idea. Enjoy the beach while you can. :) I hope your vacation is going amazing. :D
