In My Mailbox (5)

In My Mailbox at The Story Siren

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, and inspired by her friend, Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. It's a way to share the books that you've received over the past week. They could come from the bookstore, the library, a friend, your mailbox or wherever. It gives us all a chance to showcase the books that we've gotten, and maybe give others an idea for the book they want to read or buy next. :)

Bought from BookCloseOuts.ca:

The Artemis Fowl Files by Eoin Colfer
Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
The Body Finder (The Body Finder #1) by Kimberly Derting (signed copy)
Tempestuous (Wondrous Strange #3) by Lesley Livingston
The Last Days (Peeps #2) by Scott Westerfeld
So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld
When the Stars Go Blue by Caradad Ferrer
As You Wish by Jackson Pearce
Merlin Activity Booklet
Glimmerglass (Faeriewalker #1) by Jenna Black

BookCloseOuts.ca was having a sale on top of the already amazing deals, and I just couldn't resist it. I've already read The Body Finder, but I didn't own a copy, so I ordered one...and this one's signed, which isn't the same as going to a signing, but still pretty cool. :D I also couldn't resist the Merlin Activity Book! I love Merlin...and Arthur...oh Arthur. ;) haha

From NetGalley:
The Poison House by Michael Ford
Tankborn Karen Sandler
Becoming Marie Antoinette by Juliet Grey
Double by Jenny Valentine
Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard
My Boyfriend is a Monster: Under His Spell by Marie P. Croall and illustrated by Hyeondo Park
There You'll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones

Once again NetGalley had some awesome books this week...I'm not sure if I'll ever catch up with all of my NetGalley titles, but I'll try. ;)

----------

Sent by Thomas Allen and Son Ltd.:
My Misadventures As a Teenage Rock Star by Joyce Raskin
Lost Voices (Lost Voices #1) by Sarah Porter
Always a Witch (Witch #2) by Carolyn MacCullough
My Favorite Band Does Not Exist by Robert T. Jeschonek
Odd Girl Out: by Rachel Simmons

Thomas Allen and Sons sent me a few books this week. I already received a copy of My Misadventures As a Teenage Rock Star, but all of the others are new. My Favorite Band Does Not Exist sounds especially awesome. :D

----------

Bought from other places:
The Demon Trapper's Daughter (The Demon Trappers #1) a.k.a. Forsaken by Jana Oliver (Amazon Kindle Store)
Everblue (Mer Tales #1) by Brenda Pandos (Amazon Kindle Store)
First Frost (Mythos Academy #0.5) by Jennifer Estep (Amazon Kindle Store)
Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik (The Book Depository)
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (The Book Depository)
Spell Bound (Women of the Otherworld #12) by Kelley Armstrong (Walmart)

I had Epic Fail and Anna and the French Kiss preordered and they both showed up this week. My copy of Anna is a paperback, that's why it was a preorder in case anyone is curious. ;) I also  decided to buy a few Kindle titles this week. And finally I got Spell Bound! I'm excited to start this one...even if I'm not a fan of the cover. I won't lie, the Random House Canada covers for this series bore me to death, and this one in particular gives me the creeps with all of those moths. To me, all of these newer covers look like knockoffs of the Twilight Saga's covers...but they picked really weird objects. :-S

The Nightmare Before Christmas TRIVIAL PURSUIT (Travel Edition/Quick Play)

My mom and I are really big fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas, so we ordered the trivial pursuit game they have for it, and it came this week! We haven't played it yet, but I can't wait until we do! :D

----------

Well, I definitely can see that I bought WAY too many books in the last little while, but at least it made my mailbox look really nice. :) What did you get this week??

Happy Reading!!!
