♪♫ 7 Random Crazy-Tastic Things About Ambur:
1:  I love symmetry. I'm really not sure why, but when things are symmetrical it just makes me happy, it probably has something to do with the fact that I'm a bit of a perfectionist.
2:  My favourite colour is orange, and my room is three different colours, none of them are orange. My room has pink and green walls with a purple ceiling, it's a total explosion of colour.
3:  I'm Canadian, and I like the fact that our bills are all different colours. And I love loonies and twoonies. Pennies I do not like.
4:  I am afraid of spiders. And if you ask really nicely, I might tell you why. :P
5:  I worked at a campground right near a lake all last summer and didn't swim in it once.
6:  I love nacho flavoured corn nuts.
7:  I'm from a small town, well technically a village. And I'm sure none of you have ever heard of it. If you have I probably know you in real life.

Blog Award :)

This is my first blog award, and I'm pretty happy about it...and more than a little excited!
Thanks Missy (@ Missy's Reads and Reviews) for giving me this blog award, I definitely appreciate it! :D

Rules:

1. Thank and link back to the person that gave this award.

2. Answer the 10 survey questions.

3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic.

4. Contact the bloggers you’ve picked to let them know about the award.

Questions:

1. If you blog anonymously are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?

I haven't been blogging very long, but to be honest, I never really wanted to do it anonymously. I like to be myself, and it's hard to do that by hiding behind an invisibility cloak...er I mean by being anonymous.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side:

I can be pretty stubborn, I won't lie. Although I tend to be pretty outspoken with my stubborn side, it's not very inner. I'm not sure if I can think of a specific example, it's usually little things, like if I'm mad, I tend to stay mad...at least for a while, or until someone wears me down through candy. : P

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?

That's a hard one. All I can really say is that I see myself, at least I hope I do. Somedays I look a little tired, somedays I look a little flushed, and somedays I think I look like I'm glowing. We all see ourselves differently depending on how we're feeling. I like to think that I'm confident in who I am and what I look like, but I won't lie, I have insecurities just like everyone else, but I still love myself despite them, after all it's those little imperfections that make us all unique and shape who we are.

4. What is your favourite summer cold drink?

Coca-Cola!! I'm a huge Coke fan, and I'll choose it over Pepsi everytime!

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?

I read. I tend to push everything aside to spare time for recreational reading...reading for school doesn't count. :P

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?

Well, since I'm still in University there are tons of things I want to accomplish in my life. I want to figure out what I want to do with my life, I have ideas, but nothing completely solid yet. Someday I'd like a family too, but that's not for a long long time.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever , the shy person, or always ditching?

I was totally the class overachiever, and I'm not ashamed. I would call myself the Teacher's pet, but to be honest, I never had to try that hard. Teachers just loved me, probably because I actually did my homework (unlike most of my classmates :P), and I'm constantly smiling. People love when you smile. :)

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment of your life what would you see?

To be honest, I really don't know what to put for this one. I guess I'd probably say the day of my grandma's funeral, when I also moved away from home for the first time. It was a huge wake up call, telling me I was growing up and that things were changing. I was an emotional wreck, and it really made me realize how much my family means to me. It also made me see how much I rely on them. I only moved like an hour and half away into residences at my University, but it felt like I was moving across the country. I wouldn't see my parents, my dogs, or even my brother (who I sometimes don't get along with, although we're getting much closer) everyday. It was a shock and I won't like, I spent a lot of time crying. I cried over my grandma, over missing home, missing my parents, missing everything familiar. It was terrible I won't lie, but it helped me see how much they mean to me, and how time with them is precious. I still go home every weekend, but now I live in a house instead of residences. When I go home I can relax and spend time with my family and my dogs. Before I moved out I never once thought about how I'd feel when I left home. I'm not homesick anymore, but I still love going back. And I still miss my grandma, but I can't dwell on that, so instead I just appreciate everyone else a little bit more.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?

It's easy for me to share my true self in my blog, if people don't like it they won't really respond, and that's fine. I tend to think I'm a likeable person, so I've never been too worried either. Although if someone was mean I'd definitely get upset, but everyone's been so awesome, and I've had nothing but a fantastic response with my blog. People following, other bloggers, and other commentors have been extremely welcoming and friendly, so they make it easy to share who you are, at least for me it's that way.

10. If you had the choice to sit down and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?

Sit down and read. I used to talk on the phone all the time. I'd have conversations that lasted pretty much all night, now I'm really not sure why I ever talked on the phone like that. And I'd pick reading because I love it, and getting lost in a book is an amazing feeling! :)
