I'm a big fan of Sarina Bowen's--her romances are sweet, sexy, and they always leave me feeling giddy and so, so happy! LIES & LULLABIES definitely left me feeling happy, and I really enjoyed a lot of it! I did feel like it ended a bit too soon though, so it left me wanting a bit more of Kira, Jonas, and their family. I did still really like it though, and I think it's worth reading. It just left me wanting a bit more.As far as characters go, I loved Jonas and Kira. Their chemistry was wonderful, and I loved that they had a strong friendship as the foundation of their relationship...and their chemistry was definitely intense! Since the description mentions pregnancy, I think there's no surprise that they have a child...and their little one was adorable! I loved every moment where their child appeared...and love, love, loved getting to see Jonas grow as a parent!
Other than the romance and the family moments between Kira, Jonas, and their little one, I absolutely loved Kira's brother, Adam! He was sooooo great! :D Definitely my favourite side character, and I also really loved Ethan! We kind of got to know Jonas's bandmates, Nixon and Quinn, but since they're each getting their own books, we only got snippets of them here, and I really enjoyed the band dynamics! You can tell that they've know each other for years, that they've been through so much together, and that they've found a family with each other!
Overall, I loved
the characters, the romance, and all of the interactions in LIES & LULLABIES,
but it left me wanting a little bit more by the end. I wish we’d gotten a
bit more story before it time-jumped in the epilogue. It was definitely
sweet and sexy, and it left me looking forward to the next two
books...both of them are definitely going to be intense! Definitely recommend this to contemporary romance fans who like instant family/secret baby tropes, and rock star romances!
