I absolutely loved MY BOYFRIEND IS A VAMPIRE!

I’m always a sucker for rom-coms, but throw in a vampire boyfriend and it’s a whole extra level of fun!

I thought the premise of this book was so fun, and I'm happy to say that it completely delivered! Hazy and Godric were amazing and I loved them together so-so much! Their romance was fabulous, the comedic parts of the story had me cracking up, and even under a different pen name, Helena Hunting, is just as hilarious and spicy as always! ;)

 

I loved getting to try something new from Helena, and I'm already hoping that this book turns into a series as I’d loved to see more stories about the other characters, and I’d love more of Hazy and Godric, too! 

Overall, I thought that MY BOYFRIEND IS A VAMPIRE was a wonderful story! The plot was fun, the world-building was absolutely fascinating, and the characters were phenomenal! It doesn't have regular distribution in Canada and the US yet, but here's hoping it gets picked up soon because this enjoyable read deserves to be experienced by all! If you're a fan of rom-coms with heart, humour, and a quirky premise...even if you aren't always a fan of vampires...I think you'll absolutely adore this book! I loved and highly recommend it!

I absolutely loved MY UNEXPECTED SURPRISE!

I've really been enjoying The Greene Family series so far, but with MY UNEXPECTED SURPRISE, Allie and Fisher's story just became my favourite! I loved the teases that we got for their story in the previous books, but seeing them fully together in their own book was even more amazing! Their chemistry was phenomenal, and I looooooved seeing them come together! I'm also just a HUGE fan of Fisher! There was something about the surly, tattooed, gruff-talking sheriff that just really clicked with me and it's going to be tough for future heroes in this series to top him for me. :P I also really liked Allie, and I could totally relate to her in a lot of ways...minus the surprise pregnancy. :P

Overall, I thought that MY UNEXPECTED SURPRISE was fantastic! As usual, I adored all of the family parts of the story, loved seeing some of my fave side characters, and I thought that the story and romance were wonderful! It had me laughing soooo hard so many times, made me swoon and tear up, and just made me so, so happy! I loved it! I'd recommend this one to fans of small-town romances, especially if you love gruff heroes with hearts of gold that are unfailingly honest and say what they mean! Highly recommend--my fave Greene book so far!

REVIEW

I'm a big fan of Piper Rayne's various series that are set in Alaska, so I'm excited that we're getting more of The Greene Family series. Jed has definitely provided some comedic relief in the previous books, and he was one of the more non-committal Greene siblings, so I was interested in seeing how is story would end up...especially after he just found out he was a single father (since it's in the description, I'm not counting this as a spoiler :P). 

 

I definitely felt the chemistry between Molly and Jed, and I loved their banter, but I have to admit that I felt a bit of distance from them in this one, and I think it's because so much of both of their feelings happens before the book takes place. They had a serious attraction already, so their initial feelings weren't something detailed in the story, and I find whenever that happens, I personally don't tend to connect to a romance as well. That's actually the reason best friends to lovers romances and sometimes even second chance romances don't work for me--I want and need to see the romance unfold, otherwise I tend to feel like the story is lacking a little, and that's exactly what I felt here. I also felt like both Jed and Molly were pretty emotionally closed off, both to the reader and each other, so this unfortunately meant that while I liked MY SISTER'S FLIRTY FRIEND, I didn't love it. 

 

There are things I did love though. :) I loved the family scenes, and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter and steam between Molly and Jed, but like I said, I do wish it'd gone deeper. I also loved the scenes with Jed's daughter, but I wish we'd actually gotten more of those too. I'm sure we'll see lots of her in the upcoming books though, so I'm looking forward to that. :)

Overall, I enjoyed MY SISTER'S FLIRTY FRIEND, but I didn't love it. I loved all of the Greene family moments, especially when Ethel and her friends all showed up and the moments with Jed's daughter.I also loved the banter and chemistry between Jed and Molly, but I did feel a little bit detached from the romance in this one and from both Jed and Molly, which kept me from fully loving it. I think if you love romances that are a little bit forbidden with a hero and heroine who are used to no strings attached-type flings, then you'll really enjoy this one.

REVIEW

I've been a fan of the Bromance Book Club series right from the start, and I've definitely enjoyed the romance aspect, but my true favourite part of this series lies in the friendships and the bros book club. I absolutely LOVE seeing the boys discuss things, support each other, and just straight up learn to be better people! Add in the romance, and I'm one happy reader! Well under way now, I find myself loving this series more and more, and I absolutely loved ISN'T IT BROMANTIC?

I have to admit that poor Vlad wasn't the ideal romantic hero in my head based on the impressions I had of him from the previous books, but he's actually become one of my absolute favourite characters in this series as we’ve gotten to see more and more of him. He’s such a sweet, romantic soul and he really shined here! I loved getting to know him and Elena better, and I absolutely adored their story! Unsurprisingly, I also loved all of the bromance book club moments—the bros and their friendships truly get better with every book and they’re all so close and so supportive of each other now—I love it so much! I also loved that we got to see Elena gain some strong friendships in this one too!

Overall, I’ve been loving this series so far, and this is definitely my favourite out of them all! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a series with close-knit, supportive friendships where the male characters push for feminism and resist toxic masculinity. I, for one, find all of the moments with the bros to be an absolute delight!

Wow…I went into IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER expecting to enjoy it because I loved the premise, love Schitt’s Creek, and already enjoy Tessa Bailey’s writing style, but this book blew me away! I loved it even more than I expected and seriously cannot wait for its sequel, HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER!

Brendan and Piper were absolutely amazing characters and I loved their dynamics, especially since I am a huge sucker for the grumpy and sunshine pairing…their chemistry was also undeniable and I loved the little inside jokes that they had throughout the book that would make me laugh even harder when they came up again. It was such a fun, laugh out loud, and also steamy read, and I already want to read it again. It also reminded me just how much I love a beefy, strong hero and a capable man is always attractive! Haha

Overall, I loved IT HAPPENED ON SUMMER! It was steamy, sweet, funny, and also seriously uplifting and heartwarming—the perfect rom-com to pick you up and make you laugh! I’d recommend it to fans of rom-coms that like their romances steamy, and if you also love the sunshine and grumpy pairing, hunky and strong heroes, and heroines with a lot of heart and perseverance than I think you’ll love this one, too!

I've really been enjoying Piper Rayne's The Greene Family series, and the tease at the end of My Almost Ex was soooo good, so I was eagerly waiting for My Vegas Groom! It totally delivered! I liked Nikki already in the previous books, but it was fantastic to get to know her better here, and Logan...oh Logan, he was absolutely wonderful! :)

 

I haven't read many romances where the main characters wake up married to strangers--I can only think of Christina Lauren's Wild Seasons series where three couples all woke up married to strangers, so this was a newish trope to me, but I think that Piper and Rayne handled it so well! I loved that Nikki and Logan's reactions were so different, and that eventually the two of them opened up and once they did, their communication was so wonderful! It honestly made me so happy to see, and I really, really loved seeing the two of them fall in love.

 

We also got to see a lot of awesome family moments in this one...and there were some definite teases about upcoming books, which have me super excited, but I really loved getting to see how Logan and Nikki fit into the Greene family as a couple...I really loved how everyone was so welcoming to Logan, and Grandma Ethel, Dori, and all of the Northern Lights crew were as fantastic as always. Logan's mom was also another wonderful addition to the cast of side characters in Sunrise Bay--I'm looking forward to having her pop up in future books just like our past couples do! :P 

 

Overall, I absolutely loved My Vegas Groom! I read it in one sitting and didn't want to put it down at all. Logan and Nikki were wonderful! Their romance was fantastic, and the Greene family continues to grow on me more and more with every book! I'd highly recommend this to contemporary romance fans who like sweet, funny, sexy romances!

This is going to be one super ecstatic review because this book was WONDERFUL! I started MY ALMOST EX, and didn't want to put it down. Adam and Lucy were such fantastic characters, and I loved getting snippets of their past, while also seeing them come together in the present! There were definitely some emotional moments in this one, but it was also funny, sweet, and had some steamy moments, too--I loved every single moment of it!

 

It's no secret that I love Piper and Rayne, and that I love their Baileys series...but The Greene Family series has only just started and I have to say that their books are off to a truly phenomenal start! I already love the entire family and all of the family moments with Grandma Ethel and the entire Greene clan. I love the Bailey family and Grandma Dori cameos, and so far I have loved the couples in these books, too. Adam and Lucy were high school sweethearts, then Lucy left with barely an explanation only to come back into Adam's life with no recollection of ever leaving him...that's right! Piper and Rayne went there! They gave Lucy amnesia! I have to admit that I've only come across the amnesia trope in one other book and it was handled so differently and was super angsty...but I liked that here it instead quite literally gave Adam and Lucy a second chance with their romance...and they were so in love...gah, it was just so good and I just loved it so much! And that's all I'll say because you definitely need to read this one for yourself. ;)

 

Overall, I thought that MY ALMOST EX was amazing! Second chance romances aren't typically a go-to trope for me because sometimes they feel a bit rushed, but this one was flushed out perfectly! I felt like I was able to both enjoy Adam and Lucy's past along with their present, and it was so wonderful! I recommend this to contemporary romance fans who love small town romances, unexpected romance tropes (that would be the amnesia lol), sexy forest rangers, and just fun, steamy, romances in general! At this point, I've read a lot of Piper and Rayne's books, and MY ALMOST EX has been one of my top favourites so far. It left me feeling so happy, and I truly just loved getting to experience Adam and Lucy's story!
