Oh and by wich author it is can also help sometimes, like when it's an author I already know of I am more likely to pick up their book. Or if it's an author I heard good things about. Reviews on other people their blogs or goodreads can be a big help and I often check out a few reviews when I am not sure if I want to read a book or not. And cover are very important too. I also scroll through the newly added books on netgalley regulary and see if anything catches my attention.<br /><br />And those are great tips, knowing which books you like is very important. I feel like I've gottne better at that over the years and msotly pick up books I enjoy now, although I am also branching out in new genres, which can be a bit of a hit and miss.
