In My Mailbox (12)

In My Mailbox at The Story Siren

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, and inspired by her friend, Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. It's a way to share the books that you've received over the past week. They could come from the bookstore, the library, a friend, your mailbox or wherever. It gives us all a chance to showcase the books that we've gotten, and maybe give others an idea for the book they want to read or buy next. :)

For Review:

Enchanted by Alethea Kontis (from Thomas Allen and Sons)
Ladies in Waiting by Laura L. Sullivan (from Thomas Allen and Sons)
Waking Storms (Lost Voices #2) by Sarah Porter (from Thomas Allen and Sons)
Croak (Croak #1) by Gina Damico (from Thomas Allen and Sons)
Wherever You Go by Heather Davis (from Thomas Allen and Sons)
Into the Unknown Anthology by Jocelyn Adams, J.A. Belfield, and Aimee Laine (from J. Taylor Publishing)

I'm pretty excited about all of these ones! The last one from J. Taylor Publishing, I actually got last week, but I forgot to put it with my IMM last week. Hopefully I'll be able to read some of these soon. :)

From Netgalley:

Touch (Denazen #1) by Jus Accardo

Touch of Power (Healer #1) by Maria V. Snyder

I'm very excited for these two! I haven't read one of Maria V. Snyder's books yet, so I'm excited to finally read one, and Touch sounds fantastic! :D

Bought:

A Visitor's Guide to Mystic Falls: Your Favourite Authors on the Vampire Diaires (Bought from Amazon's Kindle Store) - On sale.
Grammar Girl's Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing by Mignon Fogarty
Grammar Girl Presents the Ultimate Writing Guide for Students by Mignon Fogarty
Grammar Girl's 101 Misused Words You'll Never Confuse Again by Mignon Fogarty

I bought all of the Grammar Girls books for school. She's hilarious, and I'm hoping it will help with my grammar...it's no secret that schools don't teach English the way they used to, so it never hurts to get books to help you improve. :) The guide to Mystic Falls is also on sale this week, so if you want to read it and don't mind having it as an ebook, you should check it out. :)

-------------------------

Thanks to Thomas Allen and Sons, J. Taylor Publishing, and Netgalley for the books I received for review this week! :D How about you? What did you get in your mailbox this week? Leave a link if you have one, I'd love to see! :D

Happy Reading!!!

  6. well asides from being very jealous about waking storms (seriously, did everyone get it but me?!) it seems like a great week in your mailbox. all your thomas allen books are different than mine although i did get the heather davis one in a previous box, it sounds intriguing. croak also sounds really cool, i love love the tv show dead like me and so i am curious to see how this novel, which feels a bit similar in some ways, compares.

    happy reading this week!
